Overall in retrospect this is a good, affordable webcam that has a great software suite included from a reliable company, but if you are looking for crisp high quality HD video for high quality streams, spend a little more and bump yourself up into the next tier from logitech.įirst of all THIS IS A VERY OLD VERSION camera. It does clip onto the top of your LCD/LED monitor with a swivel head to allow for frame adjustment, which clears some of that clutter from your desk space. It does come with Logitech's webcam software which does a pretty good job at adjusting zoom and light levels, but it shines in a well lit room without a lot of movement on your part. It is nice and compact, and the microphone on it does do it justice, but I think the lens is a little too small to really give HD quality video. I am in the military and got this so I could continue my gaming sessions with my shipmates after I transferred, but the video quality is lacking. I have to say, I was VERY pleasantly surprised and impressed with this camera. easy to use (didn't need any fancy software, controls, or add-ons) nice HD video resolution (720p would be just fine, didn't need 1080p) basic enough to use for Skype video calls (nothing fancy-shmancy, but not too basic) small, not bulky, esthetically pleasing to look at (since it's going to be sitting on top of my desktop monitor all the time) I headed to Amazon and looked at a bunch of different webcams before settling on this one. The "solution" from the Microsoft rep was that, basically, such-and-such model (exactly the one I had) is old and no longer compatible with Windows 10, so the best way to solve this problem is to just get a new webcam for Windows 10.
